Resistant bladder accumulators for use on high sea

23/07/2019

Biedenkopf. Roth Hydraulics in Biedenkopf offers resistant bladder accumulators for maritime applications. The bladder accumulators withstand extreme operating conditions like harsh wind, strong swell and salty sea water reliably. They are characterized by high efficiency, durability, low maintenance and flexibility in accumulator size.

Wiederstandsfähige Blasenspeicher und maritimer Einsatz
The robustness of the bladder accumulators is achieved by a special three-layered painting system which resists the corrosive conditions in maritime applications.
The paint thickness and an optimized edge covering guarantee a robust corrosion protection of the accumulators.
For shipbuilding and offshore applications, Roth Hydraulics offers options with oil valves made of stainless steel. Compared to the standard valve (carbon steel), they provide an excellent corrosion protection, especially where the piping is installed and the sealing surfaces are without color treatment. The Roth stainless steel oil valves are durable and easy to service. Disassembly does not cause damages. Complex color treatments or other secondary treatments are not necessary.

Roth bladder accumulators are designed for a temperature range of -40°C up to +100°C and for accumulating and releasing hydraulic energy efficiently. They convince with fast cycles, high loading and unloading frequencies and short and direct reactions.
The applications in shipping and offshore platforms are emergency actuation, energy storage, pulsation dampening, hydraulic shock absorption and suspension. Bladder accumulators from Roth Hydraulics enable motion sequences like flap control, control of the bow thruster, or closing of bulkheads. The application on hydraulic davits for lifeboats on ships enables fast reactions in emergency by direct response behavior through stroke movement.

Approved internationally for the application on high sea
Roth bladder accumulators can be provided with acceptance certificates for the usage in international waters. The manufacturer has approvals from CCS (China Classification Society), ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), LRS (Lloyd’s Register), GL (Germanischer Lloyd), RINA, BV (Bureau Veritas) and DNV (Det Norske Veritas).
